Answer to Running After Antelope
story: 1963
2. Why would they go out at night?
--The boys in the story go out at night because animals go out to hunt at night and then when the sun rises they go back to their home. So the boys want to catch the animals before they go back in. The quote, "Some animals sleep in the daytime and go out at night to eat. If we hurry we can catch them before they go back in the ground." shows that the boys go out at night to hunt for animals. They mainly catch little animals and his brother uses them for science and to study them.

Full Moon
I had just finished studying for anatomy, when I remembered I had an assignment to do. The assignment was to look at the full moon. I was tired and was actually expecting to just get it over with.As I walked to my room I could see the bright luminous light from the moon going through my window blinds. I decided to open my window just a crack to let fresh air in; as I began to open it I felt the cool breeze on my face. While I stared at the moon I felt less tired and more at ease. I was enjoying it. The moon was so bright that it lit the whole backyard and I could see the details and dark spots the moon has. It was like a huge eye that watched everything I did from above. Looking at the moon brought back good memories from the past.At first I really did not want to look at the moon, but once I did I really enjoyed it and was glad that I took the time to look out my window.

Driving Lessons
by Karen K. Lewis

"Hey, Will," I say.
"Yeah?"
"You need to anticipate stuff that might go wrong."

"Like what?"

We're across Salmon Creek Bridge now, and Will confidently accelerates to the posted 55 mph speed limit.

"Like, what if a deer jumps into the road ahead?"

"Oh," he replies.

"What would you do?"

"Stop," he says with a get real mom, do you think I'm stupid tone.

I find this piece of the creative writing meaning full because the story is describing how a mother feels about teaching his son how to drive. Her son is beginning a new chapter in his life by learning how to drive. He will be exposed to so many dangers that he did not think about before. His mother is aware of all the dangers and she is trying to get him emotionally and physically ready by trying to teach him how to drive and stay alert while driving. She mentions some situations that might happen while he is behind the wheel, her son responds to her like he knows exactly what to do but his mom lets him know that their is more to do than just act. He has to think about what to do first. She wants to make her son realize that there are many dangers in the world.
